Pompéi 1 project

This decorative project is inspired by different Pompeian styles (the four styles listed by the German archaeologist August Mau in the nineteenth century). Everything here is painted in trompe l'oeil ; columns have a height of 2 m, the base is 80 cm from the ground.

This decorative project is more inspired by Pompeian styles (the four styles listed by the German archaeologist August Mau in the nineteenth century) with its colorful compartments than by its coloured pattern which are two in number. The yellow base is 1 m above the ground. The whole is to realize with the help of painter tape to keep horizontal lines.

Wall decorations in the Middle Ages, visible on the illuminations, show a base to the geometric composition. The room is decorated with grotesque motifs from Daniel Hopfer (1470 Kaufbeuren - 1536 Augsburg). His grotesque panels and trophies are a stack of architectural elements, objects, human and hybrid figures and foliage winding. The trompe l'oeil wall paneling is outlined by simple lines that may be more or less thick to simulate the thickness of the wood.

A small room, a little more than 8 m², designed as a cabinet of curiosities ; some plates of Encyclopedia of Diderot and D'Alembert are represented. The Encyclopedia was the first French encyclopedia, published in 1751-1772 under the direction of Diderot and D'Alembert. The composition is designed as a set of libraries with base in the monogram of the owner. A library is dedicated to astronomy, the other in front, horse, last on the wall of the door brings the text.

In this project a suggested text from Diderot is presented but not supplied in the kit of the project (contact us if you want the corresponding stencil).

A room (around 16 m²) dedicated to interlacing from Androuet du Cerceau ; Jacques Androuet du Cerceau (around 1515-1520 Paris - Annecy 1585), architect, is most famous for his engravings for constructions. These interlacing are drawn from a collection of 26 plates, patterns for inlay floors, inlaid tile for the beds or gardens.

The composition of this piece about 16 is designed in a classic style with fake wood paneling "open" on the grounds of the garden gates of Fontaine de Nîmes. The emblem of the city of Nîmes representing the crocodile chained to palm is taken from the gates of the garden.

Jardin de la Fontaine 2 project

The piece is composed entirely faux wood paneling in a classic style. The compartments are painted in trompe-l'oeil emphasizing more or less the contours for more relief woodwork. To achieve the rounded you must create templates with thick cardboard. The four patterns for the frieze-flowers-jardinfontaine are distributed shifted across the room.

This red room is inspired by the chamber of Theodore Reinach at Villa Kerylos: red black pattern as on ancient Greek pottery. The partitioning can be done very simply with scotch for painter after tinting the room which will make positioning patterns even simpler .

Study setting colors (for a room)

Study coloring for a room, this study follows a proposal for selection of stencil to decorate one of your rooms.

Must provide:
- For your colorful room decorating ( earth tones , gray , blue , green , white ... ) preference.
- The orientation of your room ( South East ... )
- The plan and elevations of the room with windows, chimneys etc. . as in the proposed projects here .

From this information you will receive:
- 1 color chart for backgrounds and motives , it is put in gouache and serve you to order your sample colors
- A plan of the room approximate colors , representation of colors may vary from one position to another, jpeg image ( like those shown above) .
